Rules & Regulations
Students of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya College of Education shall try their best to cultivate and uphold noble ideals and high values of life and conduct. They shall take active interest in all the academic, moral, cultural and social activities of the college.
Every student shall try to keep up dignity and morale in dealings with the staff and the outsiders.
All the students have to strictly follow the rules and regulations laid hereunder for their discipline and development. Violation will entail penal action.
Rules of General Discipline
- Student teachers are insisting to keep the lecture halls and premises neat and clean.
- Student should wear Proper uniform code and the ID card in the campus.
- Organizing meetings, entertainments and collecting money for any purpose on the campus without the prior, written permission of the Principal are strictly prohibited.
- Students are expected to read the notices put up on the notice board carefully every day.
- Ragging is prohibited and it is punishable and may result in expulsion/suspension/fine/legal action.
- Students shall handle the property of the institution with care.
- All the students are expected to be on the college premises during the working hours from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
- The Principal has the rights to ask any student to leave the college and issue the Transfer Certificate at any time during the course of the year on the grounds of indiscipline, unauthorized absence, malpractice and non-payment of fees and dues and any other action that may bring disrepute to the college.
- Certificate (Transfer, Conduct, Bonafide, etc.,) will be issued within 24 hours after the submission of the application.
Attendance and Leave
- Classes are conducted every day for seven periods, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
- Attendance will be taken by the staff members at the commencement of each period.
- A student teacher who is not present in the lecture halls when the attendance is taken will lose the attendance for the session.
- Student teachers shall be regular in attendance and they are expected to be punctual.
- No student teacher will be admitted into the lecture halls if he/she is late by more than ten minutes.
- Late comers are liable to be fined and they will be admitted into the lecture halls only after getting the written permission from the Principal/Vice Principal.
- The record of attendance of each student will be put on the Notice Board in the first week of every month.
- A minimum of 85% attendance is required to appear for the University Examination.
- Discrepancies in the attendance entries, if any, should be reported by the student to the attendance In-charge through the mentor.
Leave of absence will be permitted only for valid reason, that too with the prior approval of the Principal.
- A student on medical leave must produce the Medical Certificate along with the leave application duly signed by the parent/guardian when he/she rejoins the class.
- Irregular attendance, habitual late coming, disobedience, disrespect to the staff or the higher authorities and immoral behavior will be viewed very seriously and dealt with accordingly.
